SVENSKA: Joyce har fattat sitt beslut. Det blir ingen tredje cellgiftsbehandling. Orsaken är att hon igår konfererade med tre olika läkare på medicinavdelningen där hon varit inlagd och fortfarande får sina transfusioner. Två av läkarna är överläkare. Även om infektionsnivån just nu är låg och hon mår bra kommer en tredje behandling inte att kunna avhjälpa grundproblemet – att hon har leukemi. Därmed vill Joyce istället må så bra hon kan och vara hemma så länge det är möjligt. Det rör sig förmodligen bara om veckor, inte månader, enligt läkarna. Så det enda som kan ändra på utgången är ett direkt ingripande av Gud själv. Det ber vi om men är samtidigt medvetna om att Guds plan kanske är att Joyce snart ska hem till sin himmelska familj.

ENGLISH: Joyce has made her decision. There will be no third Chemo Treatment. The reason is that she yesterday conferred with three doctors in the Medicine Ward at USÖ where she earlier was admitted and where she still gets her transfusions. Two of the doctors are chief physicians. Even if the infection level is low right now and she is doing well, a third treatment will not change the basic problem – that she has Leukemia. Therefore Joyce wants to do as well as she can and stay at home as long as possible. We are talking weeks, not months, according to the doctors. So the only thing that can change the outcome, is a direct intervention of God Himself. This is what we pray for, while we realize that God’s plan might be that Joyce is about to go home to her heavenly family soon.
Jag ber att Gud själv ska gripa in.
